Hospitality Comp started in 1982 under the name, Oklahoma Restaurant Group Self Insurance Association, by members of the Oklahoma Restaurant Association; restaurant owners who decided to pool their funds to pay each others claims. (Because of this, membership in the Oklahoma Restaurant Association is required.)

Our members are the owners of the fund, which is governed by a board of trustees . The board members are elected by locale so all areas of the state are represented. All board members are also business owners, and therefore, in tune with the unique needs to the hospitality industry. Since we deal only with hospitality and hospitality related businesses, we are experts in our field. For example, the average cost of one of our claims is far less than the state average.

Please note that our workers' compensation program is the only one of its kind, endorsed by the Oklahoma Restaurant Association. There is very good reason for that. Our claims handling, customer service and loss prevention are second to none. Hospitality Comp has refunded over $3,000,000 to its loyal and valued members over the last three years and remains financially strong. Our standard payment arrangement is designed for maximum customer comfort and requires only 25% of the policy premium up front with the remainder due in 8 equal monthly installments.

Loss prevention services are available to members at no charge. This includes safety training, accident investigation, help with regulatory compliance (both state and federal if needed), on site inspections and on site training upon request. The loss prevention department also hosts an annual safety seminar. Attending this 2 - 3 hour seminar will result in a 5% credit on your annual premium. (Discount does not apply to minimum premium accounts.)
